“Yeah it is nice” Ali looks down at the map, tracing a street with her pinky finger. “It says to turn right just up ahead.”
“Your right or my right?” He says with slight sarcasm. Ali rolls her eyes at his stupid joke that made no sense.
“Just follow the map, I really don’t want to get lost” Then
suddenly, Mark makes a sharp right turn, straight into a
cornfield.Mowing the stalks down as he goes. Ali and Amy both scream.
“What’s wrong with you! Stop the car!” Mark slams his foot down on
the brake, they all jerk forward. Amy hits her head against the back of
the seat in front of her.
“What are you doing? Are you insane!”
“I’m just messing with you.” He says simply. “I would never want to
hurt you, Ali.” He moves his hand on top of hers she pulls it away
looking at him with weary eyes.
“I need to stretch my legs” With that, she gets out of the car,
bringing Amy with her. They walk toward a clearing in the cornfield.
Mark follows.
“I’m going to go look around.” Amy says as she leaves Mark and Ali
alone. Mark turns to Ali and tries to kiss her. Once again she pulls
away.
“I don’t get it Ali.” Mark says, sounding slightly bothered. “I’ve
never been anything but nice to you, don’t I deserve a chance?”
“I know Mark you’re a sweet guy… it’s just that…”
“It’s just what?” He takes her hands and looks right into her tear filled eyes.
“It’s just that… my boyfriend back at home. I love him to death.
Vinney is my soulmate, I’ve explained this to you a million and one
times. Just please, can we be friends? It’s all I want. You keep saying
how you just want me to be happy, He makes me happy” She turns away.
She can’t look into his blue eyes any longer.
“What about me?” He steps in front of her, his anger showing in his
face. He swallows to keep his voice steady. “I want to be happy too.
Ali, you can make me happy”
“I’m sorry Mark, it just won’t happen.” Mark lets his voice get louder. Amy hears him and starts to walk back over.
“You have just made the biggest mistake of your life!” She turns
from him once more. He bends down picking up a thick tree limb that has
fallen. “If I can’t have you, neither can he.” A tear leaves his eye as
she starts to turn, he swings and hits her in the back of the head,
knocking her unconscious. Her body falls limply to the ground. Amy’s
scream echoes through the field. Mark’s hand stretches toward the
flamethrower that happens to be lying at his feet. He points it at Amy,
who freezes. He shoots fire at her. She runs away screaming, engulfed
in flames. Mark turns to Ali, who had only been out for a few seconds,
inched her hand closer and closer to the rusted pipe sticking out from
the ground. She manages to close her fingers around it. Mark leans over
her, intending to force himself on her seemingly lifeless body. CLUNK!
She pulled the pipe from the earth and struck Mark right above is left
eyebrow. He falls to his knees in a daze. She gets up taking advantage
of his brief obliviousness to what had just happened and to what was
going on. Blood seeps from the newly made gash on his forehead, he
wipes it with his fingers and looks at it, he shifts his eyes on Ali
who was stumbling into the wooded area on the other side of the
clearing. He gets up, staggers, and starts after her. The flamethrower
in his right hand, dangling loosely by his side. Sweat from his tangled
brown hair trickles into his cut, mixes with blood, and runs down his
dirty face, dripping off of his chin into the dirt by his massive feet.
He swings his head backward, slinging his hair off of his forehead and
out of his face. His eyes are stern, fixed on Ali as she staggers and
sways, making her way quickly, but not so steadily, around the trees
and over the forest litter.
Ali comes to a riverbank. Looking down at the twenty-foot drop she
tries to think desperately. She looks around for a bridge or someway to
get across the river. Nothing. Not knowing what to do she turns to see
where her stalker is, to her surprise he was a mere fifteen feet from
where she stood. She grasps the pipe toughly, ready to swing. He edges
nearer… she stays still. Nearer… she doesn’t move. She only has one
chance. She had to hit him hard enough to knock him down again. She
waits… three more seconds… two… almost there… CLUNK! She strikes him in
his left ear. It knocks him down. He drops the flamethrower.
In the corner of her eye, Ali sees Amy. Clothes barely hanging on,
her skin scorched, running toward them with something in her hand. She
tries not to make Amy’s sudden existence go unnoticed by Mark. She
keeps her eyes off of her.
Amy comes up and chops off Marks foot at the ankle, forcing him to
fall completely over, his face landing in the dirt. Blood is squirting
from where his foot should have been. Ali backs up a little as Mark
moves his head from the ground to look at her. He starts to crawl
toward her, Amy inches toward the flamethrower. Mark gets closer to
Ali. Hand over hand, like a soldier in combat. He crawls, Ali moves
backward and trips over the same kind tree root that trips everyone in
these stories. She falls, he gets closer still, he reaches out for her,
grabbing her by the ankle. As he starts to pull her toward him he
suddenly freezes. With his foot he kicks the flamethrower toward his
arms. He catches it and again shoots fire at Amy. She’s startled and
falls backward, off of the bank, and into the river twenty feet below,
making a sound like eggs on a hot frying pan when she hits the water.
In the mean time, Ali hits Mark with the ax in the head. Something,
clicks in Ali’s mind. She goes crazy, hacking Mark into little pieces.
Blood splatters onto her face and her hands but she never stops hacking
until he is unrecognizable. The pure fun of power and dominance is
overriding her. She feels the warm blood of her friend drench her
clothes. She has gone completely insane. The happenings of the
afternoon made her mind slip. The witness of her best friend’s murder
had a lot to do with it. Then she thought,‘I have to get rid of these
bodies… if someone finds them I’ll be blamed for sure.’ So she
incinerated Mark’s body with the flamethrower. She then put Amy’s body
in the trunk of Mark’s car. She put a brick on the gas peddle and let
it run into the bay.
She starts walking toward Kate’s house again. She blamed everything
on Kate. If it weren’t for her moving, Ali wouldn’t have been in the
car with Mark. She was determined to get revenge. When she got to the
house... everything was locked. It was around 2:30 in the morning and
the family inside the house was sleeping.Ali picked up a brick from the
cinder pile out back and threw it through the window. It hit Wes (their
youngest son) in the head and killed him instantly. Ali crawls through
the window, goes into Wes’s closet and gets his gun. She goes room to
room searching for Kate, killing every other family member she comes
across. Finally there is only one more room in the hallway. She walks
toward it, her footsteps echo throughout the suddenly so empty house.
She reaches for the doorknob and turns it. The door opens quietly. Kate
miraculously still asleep is in the bed on the other side of the room.
Ali walks toward it. She hits Kate gently to wake her up. Kate sits up
in bed and opens her mouth to ask Ali what happened, when Ali hits her
across the face with the back of the gun, turning everything black.
Kate wakes up in her closet tied up, Ali in the middle of stuffing a
sock in her mouth. “waa aa eeww ewwin owie?” Ali just looks at her.
Then suddenly, she rests the back of the gun against Kate’s nostrils,
preventing her from breathing. She keeps it there for a few seconds,
takes it away the slams it back to where it was with all of her might.
Kate’s nose bled instantly, her eyes flooded. Blood was being pushed
down her throat and into her lungs. She was suffocating, Ali watched
for a minute then turned to walk out of the closet. She took one last
look at the face of her formal friend as she slowly closed the door.
Kate watched as the closet went black aside from the little bit of
light leaking in from underneath the door. Slowly everything went
black. Kate’s last thought of how her friend was turned into a
slaughtering maniac left her as she choked one last time on the blood
flowing down her throat.
Ali left the house and walked toward the nearest town... not once
looking back at the house containing 6 brutally murdered family
members. Not once thinking of the two friends she killed on her way to
that house. Only thinking of the people in the town ahead and what
awaited her. A new life. A new beginning. A new group of people to fall
victim to her homicidal rage...
No one knows exactly what happened that afternoon in
the cornfield. No one really knows exactly what made her brutally
slaughter her two innocent best friends that day, no one can tell you.
Maybe it's because they couldn't imagine such an aweful thing... maybe
it's because her friend that she trusted so much betrayed her... maybe
it had been building up inside for so long and no one saw it coming.
Some say the story isn't true. That she didn't chop her once friend up
into little tiny pieces and go on a psychotic rage, hunting down her
other friend Kate, killing her entire family, and then leaving her to
die. Some say these people never existed. They are wrong.
"No turning
back... no turning back... no turning back... don't you fucking turn
around and look at that house, don't do it Ali. Don't... look back."
The voice inside of her head kept repeating and repeating, obviously
having some kind of affect on her. "This isn't me, what has happened to
me? What have I done?!" She suddenly freezes... bringing her entire
body to an immediate stop. "I will make this right... I will do what I
have to." There were so many memories haunting her... just zipping
through her mind uncontrolably. "I need them back... I need them..." I
will start fresh, I will make this right. Like it was supposed to
happen. No betrayl. No lies. Just a perfect afternoon with my closest
friends. That's all that was supposed to happen. Where did it go wrong?
Why would Mark try to set us all up? I will go into town and find new
friends and a new beginnng. Friends I can really trust. And then I will
relive that afternoon with them. The way it was supposed to be.
Everything will be perfect... everything.
Ali walked
slowly away from her haunting past and haunting memories, trying her
best to forget such the big mistake she had made. Once she got to town
she knew what had to be done. She would find those three people. A guy
about 6'3" that was funny and trustworthy. Two girls, one 5'4", black
and talkative, someone she could be herself with. And the other 5'1",
athletic and elfish looking. Her true friends. The ones she loved and
could trust her life with. The ones she would give her life for any day.
By the time she
got to town it was almost morning. She reached into her pocket and
pulled out a $20 bill, some loose change, and a panda, a gift from a
friend. The smart thing to do would be to buy some new clothes in the
morning (since they were all ripped up and had blood splattered all
over them) and then get a job to survive. In the morning that was her
plan.
The next day
everything had gone as planned. The clothes were exceptable, not many
things to buy with $20. The hard thing was getting a job, but she
managed. A smelly old fish market on the corner. It wasn't paradise but
it would do until she could stay somewhere or get a better job. Her
final plan was to find those three people. It took a while. To find
them, and for them to be similar to her old friends. And to remind her
of Mark, Amy and Kate. She would wait, wait forever if it took that
long, this had to be done. It had to because then she would feel whole
again. Not like she murdered her friends, not like they betrayed her,
not like she would let her mind get the best of her. Eventually she did
find those people. She got to know them. Know what entertained them,
know what their favorite color was, what made them mad or upset, and
what they were interested in. She met Token first. She was perfect.
5'3", black, sweet, fun to be around, and she never shut up. Next she
met Etak. She reminded her some what of Kate, but not exactly. She
would do. One night a few weeks later Ali met Kram. His real name was
Kramer, but everyone called him Kram. He was really tall, funny, and
very trustworthy. His favorite food was apples and he always had his
hand down his pants, one of his hobbies, according to him.
There they were,
sitting with her one night at the park. They seemed so perfect.
Everything was perfect. If she could have paused that moment and just
sat there talking and laughing with them forever, Ali would have.
However, something isn't right... something isnt perfect. What was it?
She couldn't put her finger on it. Slowly and slowly she liked her new
friends less and less. They were nothing like her old friends. They
weren't funny and loving and someone who she could be herself around.
She could not see her new friends and her aweful haunting memories
were starting to come back. Eventually she realized what had to be
done. They had to die.
One day when she
was alone with Token she chloraformed her. Forcing the rag of chemical
up to her mouth and covering her nose. It took a minute of struggling,
but eventually Token passed out. Falling to the floor in a daze, soon
she would be unconsious. Ali threw Token into the back of Kram's pickup
truck and sped away into town, stalling out several times on the way.
She had a key to the fish market where she worked, so she went there.
When Ali got there she picked up Token and carried her inside fast and
quietly hoping no one would notice her. When she got inside she saw the
freezer infront of her where they kept all of the meat. Big enough to
fit a body in. When she had gotten Token inside of the freezer she
noticed the old chloraform was starting to wear off. Token would be
consious soon and start fighting back. She couldn't have that. She
picked Token up holding her face to her own. But instead of seeing
Token she saw Amy. The haunting memories. Back again. The crazy side
came out again, the one she had been locking away for so long, fearing
this time it would be even worse. Ali saw Amy's eyes open and look at
her. She lifted her up and hung her on one of the meat hooks. They
could hold up to 150 pounds so she thought it would be ok. The hook
pierced through Amy's chest and came out bloody and messy. Amy letting
out the loudest scream. 'Ahhhhhh! Omg!' Amy not able to say much from
the blood she was choking on in her throat, mixed with tears of pain.
Blood was squirting everywhere and oozing down Amy's limp body. Ali
turned toward the door and turned the freezer temperature off. The ice
would melt soon and amy would freeze in there before she drowned.
Driving to
Kram's house in a panick Ali was worried he would notice the stolen
truck and call the police. But when she got there it was still. No
sirens. No police. She parked the car and got out. Sneaking into his
house she heard nothing, assuming he would be asleep this time of
night. She walked passed the kitchen and saw a knife sitting on the
counter. Picking up the knife Ali snuck up to Kram's room, not even
worring about the sqeeky floors. Her eyes glazed and bloodshot from the
sleep she had lost thinking about this moment. Opening the door she
heard him breathing steadily. She flicked on the light. Kram woke up
startled and sat there on his bed starring at Ali waiting for his eyes
to fully adjust. After a few seconds he saw Ali right infront of him,
covered in blood. 'Omg Ali! What the fuck happened to you!?' he said
with an authentic concern. She flung the knife out from behind her back
stabbing Kram in the lower abdomen. Kram let out a gasp of breath and
managed to say, 'Why?' There was no answer to that question. But Ali
did not see Kram. She saw Mark's face. In pain and agony and she felt
the anger and resentment coming back to her once more. Pulling the
knife out she thought of how Mark tried to rape her in the cornfield
that day. She slid the knife down his body, but not cutting him. She
reached into his pants grabbing ahold of his penis, pulling it out.
Taking the knife to his skin she started to cut through, hearing his
pathetic cry for help. She almost enjoyed seeing this, getting even. "I
will teach you to try to rape me." After sawing through his flesh Ali
started to saw through his arms and legs, demembering him. The blood
running down the bed and everywhere. Watching him take his last gasping
breath she opened the door smiling, and walked slowly down the street
to Etak's house.
By the time she
got there Ali was so shooken up and bloody. She couldn't get into
Etak's house so she broke open the window. She still had the same
bloody knife she used on Mark in her hand, grasping onto it so hard her
knuckles were white. Etak was in her living room, on the computer. Ali
walked down the hallway feeling weird. She saw Kate sitting on the
computer chair. A look of confusion suddenly appeared upon Kate's face.
"What? this isn't the Ali that you know Kate?" Ali mumbled in a violent
and vicous tone. "Who the hell is Kate? And why do you have a knife in
your hand Ali?" Before Kate could even comprehend what was going on Ali
lunged at her grabbing her by the throat and striking her across the
face. Taking the knife she slid it over Kate's shoulder seeing blood
appear and watching her squirm. Ali knew her and Kate weren't as good
of friends as she wanted them to be, so she had to do something to make
her feel closer to Kate. Ali started beating her as hard as she could,
knocking her out. Ali grabbed a rope that was hanging in Kate's closet
and tied her to the computer chair, taking the wheels off first so she
couldn't wheel away. Then she started to cut deep into Kate's right
leg, waking her up from the torturous pain. Ali didn't even hear her
scream, although she knew she was, but the sound in her ears was
muffled for some reason. The tears were starting to fall down Kate's
face now. Ali ripped all of the skin off of her calf muscle and cut it
loose from the bone. holding the warm muscle in her hand she knew it
would only be a matter of time before it would get cold. She took it to
her mouth and started eating it... the visual of Ali with more than a
cup of blood running down her chin and onto her clothes was disturbing
enough let alone the thought of her ripping a piece of the meat off and
chewing it. She had her head turned down and her eyes looking up,
looking halfway posessed. This was perfect... peaceful... silent. Ali
sat there on the floor watching Kate slowly bleed to death. She started
to weep for what she had done... not once but twice. And she truely
believed that she could not control this psychotic rage, there had to
be sumthing done about it. She picked up the knife and took it to her
throat, finally ending this horrible nightmare once and for all.
